What size hearing aid battery? It is important to note that a hearing aid model can only support one size of battery. BTE or RIC hearing aids are usually fitted with 10, 13 or even 675 batteries (for the larger models). Battery size 10 (the smallest hearing aid battery size) is most often used with CIC and IIC hearing aids. If you are unsure about which battery size to use, consult your hearing care professional.
How do I use my batteries? Remove the tab on the back of your battery and wait one minute before placing it in your hearing aid.
How do I preserve the life of my batteries? Keep your batteries in their original packaging, at room temperature and in a dry place. If possible, place them in an airtight box to protect them from oxidation. You can also buy a battery tester to check the condition of your batteries. Finally, when you are not using your hearing aid, it is recommended that you switch it off and open the battery compartment.
Where should I dispose of my hearing aid batteries? Please note that the rule is the same as for conventional batteries: you must dispose of them in the bins provided for used or out-of-date batteries (at the waste disposal centre or in your supermarket, for example).
