The Doro 2404 has a large colour display with a keypad that is easy to use thanks to its spaced and contrasting keys. On the right-hand side of the phone is the location of the pedestrian kit, while the volume keys are on the left-hand side. With the lid closed, the camera appears above the notification LED, the flash and the low battery alert, which flash when messages are received or when the battery level is low. With the lid open, the keypad reveals two shortcut keys (A and B) to two favourites, a quick key to the camera and one to SMS. Finally, on the back of the phone, the emergency key is used to warn friends and family in the event of an emergency.

In this case, press the SOS button for 3 seconds and the call is triggered. Cascading calls are made: the first emergency number is called and if there is no answer, the second number is called and so on. The emergency numbers to be contacted are entered in the SOS settings of the mobile. A configurable assistance message is also sent to the contacts.
